Chocolate cake

Chocolate cake recipe 

↪️ Ingredients ↩️

  • 3 Large Eggs 
  • 3/4 Cup of All Purpose Flour 
  • 1/4 Tea spoon of Salt
  • 3/4 Cup of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder - Plus More for Pan 
  • 1/2 Tea spoon of Baking powder 
  • 3/4 Cup of { 1 1/2 Sticks } Unsalted Butter in Room temperature - Plus More for Pan 
  • 1 Tea spoon Pure Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Cup of Sour cream 
  • 1 Cup of sugar 
  • Sweetened Whipped Cream - For Serving  - Optional 
  • Chocolate Shavings - For Serving  - Optional 
  • Fudgy Chocolate glaze



Preheat - Oven to 350 Degrees and Butter an 8 inch Round Cake Pan - Line Bottom with Wax Paper. 

Butter Paper - Dust with Cocoa Powder - Tapping out Excess. 
Keep it Aside.
Sift Together Flour , Baking powder , Cocoa and Salt in a Medium Bowl - Keep it Aside. 

In a Mixing Bowl - Sugar and Cream Butter Until Light and Fluffy. 
Beat in Eggs - One at a Time.
Then Beat in Vanilla. 

Reduce Speed to Low , Add Flour Mixture Alternating with Sour cream. Starting and Ending with the Flour Mixture. 

Spread Batter in to Prepared Pan.
Tap pan Firmly on Countertop Several times to force Out Large Air Bubbles. 
Bake Until a Toothpick Inserted in Center comes out Clean  for 30 or 35 Minutes. 
Remove from the Oven - Cool for 9 or 10 Minutes in Pan.
Then invert on to a Wire Rack to Cool Completely - Bottom Side Up.
Keep Rack Over a Rimmed Baking Sheet.

Pour Glaze Over - Spread Gently to Coat Entirely. 
Let Stand Until Set.

Garnish with Chocolate Shavings and Serve with Whipped Cream 😋🤩
