Yogurt Cake recipe

🛒 Ingredients 
  • 125g - 4 } 1/2 Oz Full Fat Greek Yogurt 
  • 180g - 6 Oz Plain flour 
  • 2 Tea spoons of Baking powder 
  • Half Tea spoon of Rose water - Optional 
  • 3 Eggs 
  • 120ml - 4fl Oz Sunflower oil
  • Pinch - Fine Salt 
  • 180g - 6 Oz Caster sugar 
  • 1 Lime - Finely Grated Zest and Juice 


Preheat - Oven to 190C -  170C fan/gas 5.
Grease the Sides of a 23cm / 9 in Round Cake Tin and Line the Base with Baking paper. 

Mix Yogurt , Sunflower oil and Eggs together in a Large Bowl. 

Add - The Rest OF the Ingredients - Apart from the Limw Juice and Beat it Together Until - Combined.

Tip the Mixture in to the Prepared Tin and Bake for About 30 Minutes Or Until a Toothpick Inserted in to the Centre Comes out Clean. 

Whilst the Cake is Cooking - Mux Together the Lime juice with An Equal Volume of Caster sugar - For Example 2 Table spoons of juice with 2 Table spoons of Sugar } And keep Aside to Dissolve. 

Sprinkle in the Extra Zest to Add a Bit of Colour to the Top of the Cake. 

Leave the Cake to Cool in the tin for 10 Minutes. 
Then turn out in to a Wire Rack. 
Brush the Lime Glaze over the Top and Leave it to Cool.

Serve it 😋
